Follow LaTroy Hawkins’ quest as he pursues the 2008 AL MVP, Cy Young, Fireman of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, and Nobel Peace Prize.

Update (4/24)

It is very evident that there is a conspiracy to keep LaTroy down.  Genius Girardi brought LaTroy into last night’s game in a mop up role.  He gave up a walk and a measly single, and got yanked for some guy named Billy, who immediately allows both inherited runners to score.  LaTroy’s ERA balloons to 11.17 because Billy throws like a girl.  After those runs scored, THEN Girardi brings in Mariano Rivera. And why is Rivera still their closer?  He should be setting up LaTroy.  Rivera could hold LaTroy’s jock…

These are hard times…keep the faith…

Update (4/18)

Girardi did LaTroy no favors by bringing him with 2 on and 1 out and then immediately forcing him to intentionally walk Ramon Hernandez. LaTroy would OWN Ramon Hernandez. He followed up by giving up hits to Jay Payton and Melvin Mora, both of whom are obviously corking their bats. Dillhole Girardi immediately pulls LaTroy and brings in Some Guy, who allows one of LaTroy’s runners to score.

Poor managerial decisions resulted in LaTroy’s ERA to climb to a respectable 9.64. This puts LaTroy in third place behind Cliff Lee (3-0, 0.40 ERA) and Zack Greinke (3-0, 1.24 ERA) in the race for AL Cy Young.

Stay tuned as we continue to watch LaTroy dominate the opposition!
